On February 23, 2023, COERR Mae Sot organized a Mini Marathon Walk and Run for Good Health at Ban Nupo Temporary Shelter in Umphang District, Tak Province. The 10 kilometer-distance race took place on Nupo-Umphang Road. There were 57 females and 52 males, totaling 109 participants in which 52 were schoolchildren and 57 were adults. The rationale of the activity was that COERR realized that the convenience of modern technology has made lives of people changing, especially children and youth. They loved and used social media; thus, they reduced movement which, in the long run, resulted in weakness in the body. COERR, therefore, deems it necessary to have children and youth realize how important it is to have an active lifestyle through appropriate exercise, i.e. walking and running, which help them to be healthy, build good personality, have new friends and live among those who love exercises and healthiness.
